Hugs and Kisses

I am feeling much better. I am back to sewing and reading blogs so I guess I should start back to posting. I do not remember the pattern that I used for this but it was to be a dress. I decided I wanted a skirt and vest. I was so happy to find the turtleneck in the perfect color. I will be working on more and posting more. So I will be happy to see more inspiration from the blogs that I love to read. Thanks to all my friends for helping me during my rough times. I know the road may seem a little smoother but i think I just got bigger tires! :) Hugs and Kisses to all.

WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS DRESS!

I was inspired by this blog SEW MUCH FABRIC, SEW LITTLE TIME. She is using her fabric stash to create a basic wardrobe. I just love all the T’s and skirts that she has made, so I have decided to work on doing the same. But first (no I am not putting it off) I have to finish this dress that is making me angry. I had a wonderful tropical print fabric which would have been the perfect summer dress. I kept the fabric for several summers and did nothing with it. I finally decided the make a dress; unfortunately it was not a summer dress. Well it is a summer dress but its not the perfect summer dress. I have decided to go back to not making decision when I am on my cycle. (ironic, huh!) Granted when you have not had a cycle for two months the PMS that usually sounds the warning bell is not so loud. My discovery!

As a little girl I did not play with dolls, did not play house. I climbed trees and explored how things worked. Tried to make my bike do things it was not meant to do. My mother complain when I was a toddler she would dress me in frilly dresses to play and I would prompty find mud or dirt. My mother and father had a loving relationship but I really did not see my father much. He worked the night shift. I had a close relationship with my mother. She taught me to crochet and make clothes. She kept a beautiful home and was a great cook. I felt that my father did not appreciate her enough so I decided that I would not get married and deal with someone who did not appreciate me. When my mother died it totally crippled my father. I realized just how much he appreciated her. When she first died he would just sit in a chair and just stare for hours. Finally I started talking to him and he revealed just how much he needed her. S Sew Together!! Good day!  How was your weekend?  I had a wonderful weekend the sewing event was a beautiful success!  The Sewing Machine were in place and supplies are available just waiting for the people to arrive.  I am very happy to have ventured out of my comfort zone it was very empowering to accomplish this!   Our Mentors were working on sewing project while helping others !  Some who are learning were happy and frustrated.  Lining the top of the dress can be a challenge but she conquered it!  I cannot wait to see the finish projects of all those who took advantage of the event to start a project.   First time at a sewing machine and so eager to see the finish result!   It was so happy that all enjoyed themselves.  I look forward to seeing the finish items.  I have appointments with some for one on one training and mentoring and the excitement i...
