Crochet A Long


Lion Yard Is doing a new Crochet A-long. I was not successful with the last one. I went to the store to pick the color yard and nothing appealed to me. So It was a project that never got started.

However I should be better with this one. Since I was already crocheting it should be easy to start something else.





These are the square I am crocheting in the evening after dinner and before bed. I should have a lot more done but Oh well.

The yard you see at the beginning are the colors I will use for the New Crochet A long. Will be interesting. I have never crochet this Motif before. I am looking forward to it.

My White Pizza is heating in the oven. Hubby should be asleep so tonight is as good as any other for crocheting.

I still have not started my yummy chocolate brown coat. Soon I am sure.

WHY DID I DO THAT?

We were awakened at 6:40 with the ringing of the telephone. Usually when the phone rings my Hubby turns to me and says " Are you expecting a call?" This time he just got up and answered the phone. His daughter was calling to tell him that her grandfather was vomiting blood. We immediately got up and dress and was at the house before the ambulance was there. My discovery!

As a little girl I did not play with dolls, did not play house. I climbed trees and explored how things worked. Tried to make my bike do things it was not meant to do. My mother complain when I was a toddler she would dress me in frilly dresses to play and I would prompty find mud or dirt. My mother and father had a loving relationship but I really did not see my father much. He worked the night shift. I had a close relationship with my mother. She taught me to crochet and make clothes. She kept a beautiful home and was a great cook. I felt that my father did not appreciate her enough so I decided that I would not get married and deal with someone who did not appreciate me. When my mother died it totally crippled my father. Till Then keep Sewing.

Today I have finished redoing the hems of two dresses from Old Navy for my sister’s coworker. I am starting on pants that my Auntie needs hems. Both of these items need 5 inches taken off. Short people, I love em! My goal for this week is to complete 3 dresses so I can be finish with my 6 dresses in 6 weeks challenge which turn into “Just complete 6 dresses!” These 3 dresses I have no idea about except that they will have matching tie for hubby. I am going to make them and hopefully he will wear them. I will not be surprised if he does not. My allergies are making it difficult for me to type.
