Project runway was started its new season!

I found a most wonderful blog http://bloggingprojectrunway.blogspot.com/.

It is conforting to know that I am not the only one who think about this show daily.

This is the best resource I have found in connection with Project runway. It was not advertised very much but I also have not been watching much TV lately.

I have been trying to organize a sewing room, trying to complete project that have been abandoned, trying to complete 3 dresses for an upcoming weekend away, trying not to lose my mind. I gave up on the mind part. I think I left it in the sewing room but eventually it will show up.

Project runway as given me one evening a week that is all about me. I don't care who you are just do not bother me. Proof of this was when Wednesday night when I took the remote from Todd and changed bravo channel just the set up the reminder. When he saw what the program was he just got up and went to bed.

Cool with me as long as I get to watch my show its all good!

WHY DID I DO THAT?

We were awakened at 6:40 with the ringing of the telephone. Usually when the phone rings my Hubby turns to me and says " Are you expecting a call?" This time he just got up and answered the phone. His daughter was calling to tell him that her grandfather was vomiting blood. We immediately got up and dress and was at the house before the ambulance was there. I just stood back and stayed out of the way. But that did not last long because Hubby did not know what to do. His father started with the " I don't want to bother anybody?" crap that he says when he thinks he is about to die. I just asked some questions. My discovery!

As a little girl I did not play with dolls, did not play house. I climbed trees and explored how things worked. Tried to make my bike do things it was not meant to do. My mother complain when I was a toddler she would dress me in frilly dresses to play and I would prompty find mud or dirt. My mother and father had a loving relationship but I really did not see my father much. He worked the night shift. I had a close relationship with my mother. She taught me to crochet and make clothes. She kept a beautiful home and was a great cook. I felt that my father did not appreciate her enough so I decided that I would not get married and deal with someone who did not appreciate me. When my mother died it totally crippled my father. Till Then keep Sewing.

Today I have finished redoing the hems of two dresses from Old Navy for my sister’s coworker. I am starting on pants that my Auntie needs hems. Both of these items need 5 inches taken off. Short people, I love em! My goal for this week is to complete 3 dresses so I can be finish with my 6 dresses in 6 weeks challenge which turn into “Just complete 6 dresses!” These 3 dresses I have no idea about except that they will have matching tie for hubby. I am going to make them and hopefully he will wear them. I will not be surprised if he does not. My allergies are making it difficult for me to type.
